Jeffrey Baddish, CPA
Jeffrey A. Baddish is a certified public accountant with over thirty years of experience in diversified areas of practice, including professional service firms, real estate, construction, retail, labor organizations, ERISA funds, not-for-profit organizations, schools, camps, and forensic engagements. As part of his practice, Jeff deals with numerous clients with multiple and various entity structures in addition to also having a significant individual tax practice with many high-net-worth individual clients. Jeff has successfully represented both his business and individual clients in front of the IRS, DOL, State, Local and other government agencies.
Jeff handles a retail chain with over 100 stores, operating in 10 states, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois. He has handled all audits for the chain, which have included sales and use tax, income tax, withholding tax and payroll tax for both the IRS and state and local jurisdictions. At one point in time, Jeff was representing this client in handling 21 simultaneous NYS sales tax audits. In addition, the owners of the chain have significant real estate investments. These entities also operate in PA, Texas, Connecticut and Florida among others. Together with the retail chain the K-1’s flowing into the owners returns number as many as 200. Serving this client requires Jeff and his staff to stay current in all aspects of Federal, multiple state and local taxation.
Jeff was the managing partner of Coltin, Baddish & Shapiro, CPAs, P.C. before the firm joined Shalik, Morris & Company in 2008.
Jeff served as the treasurer of The American Red Cross in Nassau County and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
